Once upon a time, AutoCad had a unix version, but it got dumped when 
AutoDesk drank Gates' KoolAid and converted AutoCad into a pure Windows 
program. Likewise, ProE was once exclusively unix.

Your reference to AutoCad as a virus rings a bell here. I spent the last 
nine years of my engineering career fighting it every day, all day; any 
day with only one system crash counted as a winner.
