Yes.  I am the boss at work.  I am a stay-at-home dad to 5 kids who 
homeschools the two special needs adopted one.  That said, I don't think 
of my home as an office or my kids as employees.  I wasn't aware there 
was one right way to do things.  A corporate work environment with a 
large multi-user network is different from a single home computer.

That I choose to do it this way is a digression.  I don't choose to have 
my kids be able to access root.  I wasn't given that choice during 
install or informed that I made such a choice by default.  It won't 
happen again; I can easily fix it, and it's not a big deal.
