i think ubuntu is cool, but both gnome and openoffice.org are
resource-hungry, and even firefox is not so light-weight
you could install ubuntu and instead of gnome and openoffice.org you
would use icewm or fluxbox, abiword and dillo
or try this : http://ubuntulite.org/
and this is also an option, puppy-linux : http://www.goosee.com/puppy/
