Rhythmbox hangs when reading my music from a directory

Run "rhythmbox -d" in a terminal and look at the last file it reports as
trying to load. Either that file, or the one that would come after it,
is usually causing the problem.

You can check exactly which one is causing the problem by temporarily
moving it out and seeing if it then works. If you file a bug, and
somehow make the offending file available to the developers, they can
usually figure out why it is crashing and then fix the problem.
