Until 10/5/05, Breezy is still in development. As such, many things will
get updated as bugs are squashed, code is tweaked, features added, etc.
Even when the official release happens, there will probably be updated to
fix the bugs that creep in that the Colony releases may have missed. No OS
is perfect, but thankfully Ubuntu is actively updated rather than forced to
update when a major flaw that everyone except the manufacturer has
acknowledged.

Subject: 342 updates on new Breezy
As a new user of Ubuntu, I am still trying to understand what's
going on. Immediately upon installing 5.10, I was notified of
342 updates pending. I waited until this morning to install
them. It appeared to me that everything from the kernel to
fonts, was updated. I don't understand how so many packages
could require updating on a new install. Would someone please
explain, or point me to appropriate docs?
