Hi Vignesh
below you find a list of packages you need to download for better
Multimedia performance (especially playing DVD's).
first deinstall TOTEM-gstreamer and install TOTEM-xine.
http://packages.ubuntu.com/hoary/gnome/totem-xine
(i guess you need the i386-version).
also install XINE-ui, which plays in my case more DVD's than TOTEM itself.
http://packages.ubuntu.com/hoary/graphics/xine-ui
(i guess again you need the i386-version).
i cannot remember all the dependencies ot these packages, some
dependencies of these packages may already be installed by Ubuntu
Installation, others you may have to download in a second run, when you
get to see what is missing.
remember, installing these deb-files you do in the terminal by:
$ dpkg --install /path-to-deb-file/name-of-deb-file.deb
or if you are in the folder where the deb-file is located (more easy)
$ dpkg --install name-of-deb-file.deb
regards,
René
