Got XP Back..Now what?

Well, do not install Ubuntu 5.10 right now, till it is not the stable version !
Install Ubuntu 5.04 (Hoary), and when Breezy releases in about a
month, then you upgrade to Breezy !
Thus, you will avoid installation problems with the installation of a
stable version.
