Hi all!
I guess this question must have been asked thousands of times on the
list, but I just can find the proper answer, so any pointers to previous
messages are as welcomed as answers themselves! I am having problems
with xkb after upgrading from a debian unstable system to an up to date
breezy. After fighting with deinstallation and reinstallation of the
Xorg infrastructure, with some links pointing to wrong places and so on
I got the X server up and running but xkb fails to load with the
following message:
Couldn't load XKB keymap, falling back to pre-XKB keymap
which messes up my Swedish keyboard. I've seen that it could be a
problem with permissions, so here goes the contents of /etc/X11/xkb/
/etc/X11/xkb# ls -la

My entry in xorg.conf is as follows:
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Keyboard1"
Driver "kbd"
Option "AutoRepeat" "500 300
Option "XkbRules" "xorg"
Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
Option "XkbLayout" "se"
EndSection
Any idea on what can be wrong? I am having a hard time with this one!
Thanks!
