Reinstalling Windows on dual boot disk

No, actually it's "grub-install" that needs to be run (found out after 
an hour of testing and searching). I first did "update-grub", but I'm 
not sure if that step was necessary (is /boot/grub/menu.lst stored on 
the first partition?). At the boot prompt I pressed F1 to check the 
available boot options, but I couldn't find the rescue mode mentioned.

The following steps were required:

- Start the computer from the Ubuntu installation CD.

- At the prompt, type "rescue" (excluding quotation marks).

- When prompted for the root partition, choose "/dev/discs/disc0/part2".

- At the shell prompt, type

      grub-install /dev/hda

   (Some file system warnings are displayed, but no errors are reported.)

- Remove the installation CD and restart the computer (Ctrl-Alt-Delete).
