Setup pppoe on install/livecd

Hey all, new the world of ubuntu (but not to linux or debian).
First up - I'm really loving Ubuntu and I'm glad to be back on a debian
based system after using Fedora for along time.
I'm connecting to the 'net through a PPPoE connection which was easy to
setup post install, but I had to sit through a long period of having the
installer hang around for awhile without any connection, before it gave
up trying to find one.
What would be great is if Ubuntu, after looking for and failing to find
a DHCP server would scan for any PPPoE concentrators (I think thats the
term?), prompt for a username/password and configure/start a PPPoE
connection.
This would make the LiveCD rock just a little bit more.
How would I go about suggesting this (other than just this email?), a
bugzilla entry somewhere?
Cheers,
Mark
