Yeah, with the fn key you can do a lot of fancy stuff on your laptop. I
am not an expert on these keys but it looks like some are "hardwired"
and others depend on a utility which is running in your OS to do useful
stuff.
e.g.: If I hit the fn + PgUp a white LED goes on which lights to the
keyboard. Is somehow silly, but It really helps if you are in a dark
envoirement. This is OS independent. Or fn + F3 turns off the display,
fn + Home / End will control the brightness of the display.
fn + f7 brings up a utility for presentations in windows but is doing
nothing in Linux :-( fn + F4 should bring the laptop into "sleep" mode,
works in windows but don't work in Linux.
I did not check if I get these fn keys working on Linux, cause I seldom
use.
Mybe there is somebody on this list you knows the details about this fn
keys?
