Have been using the same scanner (LiDE 30) for several years with other
distros, and Hoary for about six months. Scanner works right out of the
box at all tested resolutions. The highest I have tried was 400dpi
(creates very large files!) and I normally use 100dpi. My system is an
AMD Athlon 3000, 1Gb memory and a 20" LCD display (Princeton). Perhaps
your "wavy" lines are caused by exceeding your Monitor resolution?
