Hi!
First of all thanks for all the help I've received from this list so
far! And now some new questions..
1) Playing audio-cds with gnome's cd-player causes the CD to freeze.
Normally I have to change between different CDs a couple of times, but
sooner or later it freezes so that I can't eject the CD neither within
ubuntu nor with the eject-button on the cd-driver.
It usually gives me an error message but I don't remember it and right
now it's working like a charm.
3) Late one night I tried a program to sort my music-files into a
logical file hierarchy. Unfortunaly I was very tired and the result was
that most of the music now is stored in paths like
/mnt/fatty/music/artist/album/artist/album/artist/album/song.ogg. Not
very convenient. So I'd like a script to move every files from any
subfolder of /mnt/fatty/music to placed into just /mnt/fatty/music, and
then delete all empty subfolders. After that I'll try the same
application again and hope for better luch : ) Any ideas?
4) Do I lose music quality if I convert mp3's to ogg vorbis with mp32ogg?
5) Running glxgears freezes the computer, but only after running the
gears for a couple of seconds. I guess you need more information to help
me with this. I've installed both nvidia-glx and nvidia-kernel-common
and also use this in my xorg.conf (Driver "nvidia"). The card is a
GeForce4 MX 440.
6) After moving my home-folder to it's own partition the gnome-keyring
manager stopped working. When I try to connect to a ftp-server from
places, it first ask for password. Then it tells me that there's no
standard keyring and prompts me for a new password. And after entering
it it does nothing but using 95% of my CPU.
7) Can I save none-gnome passwords in a keyring? Right now I have
unencrypted password to all kinds of things on my computer. And how do I
backup the keyring?

Martin Ericsson
