Hauppauge WinTV-GO tuner with Ubuntu?

hmm something wierd is going on. I did as you said with the
/etc/modprobe.conf and then restarted. Now tvtime complains that it
cannot open capture device /dev/video1



The thing is though if i turn the volume up to the highest level
possible, beneath the hiss and other computer sounds and interfearance
i can very very faintly here the tv sound.



I think we're on the right track somewhere.
