Hello,

Did you guys get this one fixed?? I'm having the same exact problem
(with slight difference in module location). Did you guys upgraded to
ndiswrapper-1.1? If so, I would download Breezy (currently using Horay
5.04 released version) and will try to upgrade it (via CDROM of course;
no Net).

Currently, I'm using Toshiba Tecra 8100 with Netgear WG511v2 card.
According to Netgear ( http://kbserver.netgear.com/products/wg511v2.asp
), it uses different chipset than normal WG511 card. And according to
this person ( http://people.ucsc.edu/~iwh/dell.html ), the card seems to
work if my ndiswrapper work with the Windows driver.

So after copying the driver from the card's CD to my home dir (I tried
both Win2k and XP versions) and then when I do,

sudo ndiswrapper -i wg511v2

it says;

Installig wg511v2

Then when I do;

sudo ndiswrapper -l

it says;

Installed ndis drivers:
wg511v2 driver present, hardware present

If I do;

sudo lspci

then it says;

0000:06:00.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd.: Unknown
device lfaa (rev 03)

When I do;

sudo modprobe ndiswrapper

it says;

FATAL: Error inserting ndiswrapper
(/lib/modules/2.6.10-5-386/kernel/drivers/net/ndiswrapper/ndiswrapper.k
o): Operation not permitted

If I go to the ndiswrapper directory in that error and do ls -l , it
says

-rw-r--r-- l root root 132844 2005-04-05 06:40 ndiswraper.ko

Any help would be greatly apprecited.
