Hi Folks:

Being somewhat new to Ubuntu, I am curious as to the recommended
repository list for a safe, stable, full featured machine. 

I am quickly getting the picture that there is a TON of software out
there, but finding it all and knowing where to look is tough -- can
someone help me out????
