DVD crashes kaffeine and totem does not see it

I'm using breezy and can't get my DVD to play. I'm using a DVD that
has no copyright protection, so that's not an issue.

When I put the DVD in, on KDE, the disc pops up on the desktop and
opens a konqueror and asks if I want to open or save the file, then
after a brief pause, it proceeds to open kaffeine. But then kaffeine
crashes. I've tried kaffeine-xine also with the same result.
Starting it in a terminal and trying to play a DVD from the menu
gives:

:~$ kaffeine

I also tried totem. I start totem, then try to menu => Play DVD and a
message pops up saying "Failed to play Audio/Video Disc Failed to find
mountpoint for device /dev/hdc in /etc/fstab".

But, in /etc/fstab, I have

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/hda4 / ext3 defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1
/dev/hda1 /media/hda1 ntfs auto,users,ro,umask=022 0 0
/dev/hda2 /media/hda2 ext2 noauto,users 0 0
/dev/hda3 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/hdc /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 auto rw,user,noauto 0 0

I've no problems using the CD/DVD to play music CD's or use data CD's.

Someone who can view DVD's .. would you please compare your /etc/fstab
to mine and give me suggestions.

All ideas appreciated.

TIA

Also, following is the backtrace from the kde crash handler when
kaffeine crashes. I don't know enough to learn anything from it.
