Firefox fonts Times New Roman and Ariel?

It sounds to me like you need to enable the universe (and multiverse
while you're at it) repositories.
Open up Synaptic Then go to Settings---Repositories--->Settings and
check the first box that says "Show disabled software sources."
Then go through the list and check the boxes for universe and multiverse
(Don't bother with the source, just the binary).
Oh and the package you're looking for is msttcorefonts.
