Why need Debian?

Which is why Dapper will really be a boon to ubuntu, and I can't wait for 
it. :) I've got servers that I've just updated to 5.10, they were old as hell 
and really needed updated, and I figured using 5.10 would buy me some more 
time before I needed to update again as opposed to using hoary.
