This might be useful and another of way approaching problems like
this.



I had a situation where I was getting errors reading the CD-ROM once
the installation started.  It was because a module for the wrong
chipset was being loaded.  The way I fixed that was to boot using
Expert Mode and to uncheck the  offending module when the dialogue box
with probed modules was presented.
