Gnome sound volume shortcut

Hi all!

I am using Ubuntu 5.10 at my laptop. Laptop has i915gm chipset. I have a 
problem. I have configured my volume keys in Gnome. (Fn+F7 etc.)

They are working but they are controlling the wrong channel. Keys are 
changing the headphone channel sound level but they had to change Front 
channel.

What can i do to correct this problem.
