Well, in order to send that last message I had to hook up my old dial-up
modem. Whadayaknow! Now my DSL works! But only when the dial-up
connection is made although the dial-up connection just sits there,
idle. What gives with that? Also, my hostname has now changed to
dhcppc0. I have to <sudo killall-9 gdm> and start gdm again for the
hostname to return to WizardsTower.
BUT!! I have a DSL connection now, for whatever it's worth.

Q: What's the difference between MicroSoft Windows and a virus?
A: Apart from the fact that viruses are supported by their authors,
use optimized, small code and usually perform well, none.
