Firefox and NTLM

I'm trying to authenticate with NTLM in Firefox, so that I
can access my company's intranet. So far no love, even after
googling and finding

But unfortunately it looks like NTLM stuff -- particularly
the 'about:config' suggestion made in the URL above -- only
works in Windows:

Has anyone gotten NTLM authentication to work under Firefox
for Linux? It seems to work just fine under Konqueror.
