Guided troubleshooting Runlevel

What do people think about having a guided troubleshooting runlevel?
Runlevel 2 is great when things are working, but single-user mode
runlevel is really only useful to more experienced users.

What is there was a spare runlevel that used a more friendly script to
help the user get back to a functioning system? It could be nothing
more than a shell script that provides a menu. Options could include
things like "reconfigure graphical user interface (dpkg-reconfigure
xserver-xorg)" or "browse online help (links
http://www.ubuntu.com/support)" etc.

Reducing the options to a manageable few is hard, but there may be some
very common ones that would really help people who have messed things up
through changing hardware or forcing broken package installs.
