Two issues.....

Hi all, just installed breezy and no major problems at all really. But
I noticed a few things since Hoary and want to see if I can fix them or
change stuff. First, Breezy(mainly gnome) seems a little sluggish
compared to Hoary. I notice alot more drag and delay for some reason.
I never had this with hoary(I have P4 3Ghz, 1Gb ram, ATI X300 video card
so I dont think my system is not fast enough to keep up.) Is anyone
else noticing this? Is there anything to do about it?

Secondly is an issue with firefox. I cant seem to get firefox to play
video clips(mainly mpegs) from websites. In hoary I used to just click
the video and totem or xine would pop up and play the clip. This is
what I would like to happen, and sometimes it does(but only once out of
20 times). I used the automaitx application from the ubuntu forums
website to try and get all the codecs etc. but it still isnt working. I
dont want the video to play in firefox, just open the clip in
totem-xine. Is there some way to check to see if I have the proper
thing installed, or if I need something else? Thanks,
Charles
