Unable to use wi-fi on Ubuntu Hoary under WEP

How are you entering the wep code? Is it a number string or a passphrase?
If it's a number string, make sure "Hexadecimal" is displayed for the WEP
setting and enter the string in the format xxxx-xxxx-xx with the dashes
(i.e. 1234-5678-90). If it's a passphrase, make sure that "string" is set
in the dropdown menu and enter the passphrase in it.
Hope this helps!
Jared

My Q is not about changing security in my Airport-Express, but HOW to
use the WEP-code in ubuntu 5.10.
(My WIN-XP Laptop connect fine with the WEP-Code ON).
