HPLIP on Ubuntu server without graphical environment?

Hi,

I want to install Ubuntu Breezy 5.10 on a box as a printer server.
Install is "server", so no X and everything.

One of the printers is a HP PSC 1210. Q: is it possible to install the
HPLIP printer/scanner driver *without* graphical environment, e. g. does
the package require X or not? AFAIK, there is some sort of GUI included
in the package, to check the ink cartridge level and things. Now I
wonder if it's possible to install HPLIP to work only on the command
line.

Any ideas?
