I haven't used MythTV seriously, but try a different audio driver (OSS vs.
ALSA, for instance) if possible. Also, bear in mind that if this "buffered
audio" is a live stream from the net that's been compressed a lot, it by have
inherent problems in how it was created, that aren't related to your system.
