After my first response to this, I took a gander at the bug report. It
doesn't mention floppies. It just states "Breezy can't automount DVD-ROM".
The comments that follow mention floppies, but USB floppy drives, not
your old fashioned garden-variety-installed-in-your-box floppy drives.
In any event I just tried to mount a floppy and I was able to, but not
without some fiddling around. That is because GNOME and KDE can't agree
on device names in "/media" (another bug that's been reported).
