to be honest with you daryl - it doesnt make too much sense.
that means that its not possible for files to be secure unless they are
in a directory you own. you have to agree that it seemed counterintutive
to you as well.

but i suppose a dir where different users own files should be owned by
root. then the users will not be able to play these tricks with
eachothers files.
