Heh, I usually get three windows popping up but I'm otherwise able to
access my USB flash drives and my external (firewire) hard drive).
However, for some odd reason what you just described appeared for the
first time yesterday..
And it seems that GNOME and KDE want to create different directories in
/media that point to the same device.
So in GNOME my external hard drive is "ieee1394disk" and in KDE it's
"sdh". I give the nod to KDE in the naming contest.
Lately now both started showing up. I'd go to my "media" folder in
either Nautilus file manager or Konqueror and see both "ieee1394disk"
and "sdh" and both would take me to the same place. It's rather messy
when I have both USB flash drives and the external hard drive (which has
3 partitions, btw) connected. :-)
But GNOME is not an issue at the moment, I can't get in there anyway...
