FreeDOS/Ubuntu on HP laptops?

Hmm, that is just wrong on so many levels... What if I were to buy a
Dell with Windows, decide to not accept the EULA and return the
Windows copy? Would I need to pay to get rid of it?

Does this also mean that I'm actually doing M$ a favour if I use an
illegal copy of Windows? I mean they are apparently having to pay people
to use it, while I'll be using one without charging money.
