Actually directory has both zope and zope2.7
But why would it say command not found when typing "zope2.7 start" with
or without sudo.

Did you actually _see_ zope in there?  It should be zope2.7 or
zope2.8...

try dpkg-reconfigure - the user defaults to "admin" but I think you
needed to set a password.
