I do'n think that's what he needs at all. I mean he would have to boot
the CD no ? I was udner the understanding that he didn't want to reboot.
If he decides to reboot, then he might as well enter the BIOS and see
the RAM bus settings for himself... no need for the CD. Not to mention
the time it takes to download the ISO, the cost of burning the CD...
plus if he reboots, he might as well just power off and open the case,
which he clearly doesn't want to do ;o)

So I think dmidecode is a much better solution in his very particular
case of extreme lazyness ;-)
