nikto package

Hi,

I just got nessus installed, and my nikto installation is too old to be 
updated. It says:

max at max-laptop:~/downloads$ sudo nikto.pl -update
+ Retrieving 'realms.db'
+ www.cirt.net message: Nikto version 1.35 is now out, please upgrade to 
obtain further updates.

Is there an easy way to upgrade the nikto package without breaking it?
