Xen support in Ubuntu was done as a Summer Of Code project.  I'm pretty sure
it was announced here or in ubuntu-devel.  It was *definitely* announced in
the Xen lists.  Sorry, no 'net access at the moment to dig up the URL for
you, but Google Will Provide (as always).
