Editing xorg.conf to support a Wacom tablet, and permissions [SOLVED]

I can understand how that would be frustrating. Sorry for bringing it up
again.

I have to admit that I have a little trouble getting the philosophy
behind it. But I'm sure that there is plenty of discussion in the
archives if I wanted to get to the bottom of it. I wouldn't want to
start out on the Ubuntu community by flogging a dead horse.

In the meantime I think I grasp the use of "sudo" just enough to work
with it while I handle the less exotic questions involved in just
getting my environment to meet my daily requirements.

In any case, the essential question of this thread on how to access my
xorg.conf file for editing has been answered.
