Xorg running at 20-30% CPU (or higher) constantly - Ubuntu 5.10

I think there was running some cronjob in the background (update-db for
example). You should take a look at the list which you get from top and tell
us the processes which consumes the cpu-cycles, if you really want to know
;-)
