Hello Francisco,

I'm from the Philippines too. You could join the Ubuntu Philippine team
and the mailing list (http://ubuntu-ph.org/Wiki). I receive my CDs
probably 2 months+ after from the ordering date. You could still open
your MS Office documents in OpenOffice w/c is included in Ubuntu. But
there is some slight learning curve if you are a former MS Office user.
Maybe you could try the OpenOffice for windows to see the difference.
I'm a FreeBSD user also which happens to be more difficult than Ubuntu.
If you happen to survive FreeBSD, I know who find Ubuntu easier. Ubuntu
is really great for desktop usage making installations easier and
removing the hassles being experienced with other Linux distributions.
