You probably shouldn't have forwarded this onto us, either, since it's
generally Not Nice to send private emails to a list.  

However, it raises a valid point - why don't Ubuntu repackagers change the
maintainer email address?  It would seem to be an Ubuntu policy decision,
as Ubuntu "reportbug" ignores the maintainer address and overrides it with
this list (iirc).  It seems like a bad policy, though, because it results
in this sort of mixup.
