Laptop running fan constantly on latest Breezy

It stays at top speed, The powernod daemon doesn't work with P4's, I don't know
if this is the problem or not?

No, I have the directories: 

/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/

but they are both completely empty.
