Yeah, but he already has the DSL modem - he doesn't need to upgrade it to a
wireless/DSL modem. For true connection problems, you can always plug into
the DSL modem directly to have them diagnose it.

You have a valid point - for some people it's much more worthwhile to have
somebody else to help with the configuration of the equipment.
