[kubuntu-hoary] AmaroK bug in unsupported version

I had problems with AmaroK listing files/tunes twice.  Filed bugzilla
report.  Resolution is that Kubuntu is using an unsupported version and
that problem should be solved in current version.  Is there a way to
upgrade without breaking the apt database?
