Problems printing over a network

I can't offer too much insight into your problem, but I was successful
with a similar set up:

HP LaserJet 2300 pcl 5e

I did:
System -> Adminsitration -> printers
and then
New Printer -> Network Printer

and then selected "HP Jetdirect" as I am using an HP printer.

entered printer IP address, and verified that default port was correct
(9100)

when it asks for a driver, I got mine from http://www.linuxprinting.org

anyway, it's working perfectly now.
