Greetings all,
I updated from Hoary to Breezy a few weeks ago, and discovered that my HP
PhotoSmart 7450 no longer prints. It was perfectly fine in Hoary. I assumed
it lacked a driver (and indeed it does) but am having difficulties in
getting the downlaoded driver to work. Can anyone suggest a good method to
a) obtain and
b) get to work
the drivers from Ubuntu or HP? My dmesg :
usbcore: registered new driver snd-usb-audio
drivers/usb/class/usblp.c: usblp0: USB Bidirectional printer dev 5 if 0 alt
0 proto 2 vid 0x03F0 pid 0xB802
usbcore: registered new driver usblp
drivers/usb/class/usblp.c: v0.13: USB Printer Device Class driver
usbcore: registered new driver usbserial
drivers/usb/serial/usb-serial.c: USB Serial support registered for Generic
usbcore: registered new driver usbserial_generic
drivers/usb/serial/usb-serial.c: USB Serial Driver core v2.0
Nothing from hplip (driver set I downlaoded from synaptic) .... somewhat
lost.
Brian
