Getting frustrated with Ubuntu....

I have to say I would do the following:
1. Install a stock standard Ubuntu 5.10 and play with it
2. Get into LFS and build your own from scratch.
That way you will have the experience of a "normal" very good linux flavour
in it's natural state, AND get the experience of going into all those little
areas a guru would want to learn about.
When you have supped enough of these two forms of linux, then (and only
then) would I do unto Ubuntu as you have done unto it beforetime!
