When that happened to me my response was, "can anyone give me some tips
on doing that?"
Dang! Next thing I knew I had tips on compiling a kernel!
I only mean to point out that no one knows your level of expertise
unless you clue them in. If something is beyond your (current)
abillities, ask and it won't be beyond you for long.
With good communication we can each and all continue to grow in
experience and knowledge. That's one of the many reasons I love Linux
and Ubuntu in particular.
