(Dapper) - password dialog freezes system

Still stuck when i ctrl-alt-f7   ctrl-alt-backspace and relogging in 
clears it.

don't know (how do I tell?) but did check my sources list, changed all 
to dapper, apt-get update skipped gksu, so forced the install and now 
all is well with the world.  Thanks for the heads up where to look.
