Breezy install problem with nano

The problem is that the broken package is in ubuntu-base and it means
that I can't use Synaptic to download GCC. I could use apt-get but I'm
not sure that I know all of the packages I'd need. I think I'll just
hope someone fixes nano and I will reinstall Ubuntu.
