scan to pdf

For the record there is an analogue to PDF Creator call cups-pdf. 
However it has some limitations--you must run cups as root, and it
doesn't let you specify filename or output options like PDF Creator.

In general for printing to PDF, the probably way is to print to ps
then ps2pdf as suggested above.
